It has been a pleasure working with the British Library on these & a privilege to breathe life into these beautiful centuries-old illustrations. If you have not been, I highly recommend visiting the History of Magic exhibition where you’ll be able to see the originals of these pictures and much much more!
It was great fun working with the British Library on this.. they sent me the original illustration, which I then adapted into this looping animation. This has been used on their social media sites to help spread awareness of the upcoming Harry Potter exhibition.
The Bingomation website is now complete.. I have posted my GIF below, but you can also see it on the website (along with 89 other GIFs from a load more talented animators!) The site has also been featured here on Digital Arts! Hooray!
It is complete! Thank you to my lovely girlfriend Nina for being the source of inspiration & muse for this little bit of good hearted comedy..
I created this using Illustrator & After Effects. Part of the process included learning how to rig the character using this fantastic plug-in by DUIK.
